    Hi,

I am about to purchase some kef 2005.2 speakers. I am going to put the speakers on stands. I would like to findout what people do with their speaker cable runs?

Do you run them under the floor boards and then up through a drilled hole in the board to the speaker?

Do you run them around the skirting board at the edge of the carpet. Or under the carpet with flat cable.

Is flat cable expensive can you still see it?

When ever you see an installation advertised - where are the cables???

Any help or advice would be great.

    Neil

Artistic licence. I doubt whether they bother connecting up kit being photographed for adverts.

I would think that different people cable their speakers up in every different way imaginable. I don't have KEF Eggs but my front three speakers just have the cable running dowon the back of the speaker stands whilst I have used Ixos 607 flat cable to run under the carpet for the rears. This has a self adhesive strip on one side which helps to stick it to skirting boards etc

i just leave them along the ground for the moment, i am not really fussed about them being on along the floor, i might in the future tidy them up, its up to you really, if you want speaker cable to be out of site put them in the walls

I've used biwire to make just one cable run for the rear speakers. Nice idea about using double sided sticky tape to attach it to the skirting board. Thanks.
