Hi all,
I have a Denon AVR2311 Receiver with a pair of B&W 685 S1 front speakers, B&W HTM61 S1 Centre and a B&W ASW10 Sub (no surround speakers.) My question is, what speaker cable would you recommend on a budget of £15 or thereabouts (or more if you think worth while) per metre. My current cable is QED Silver Anniverary XT. TIA.

If you're happy with how it looks I'd stick with what you have. If anything a thicker cable might help but if so you definitely don't need to spend £15 a metre unless you spot something that looks prettier at that price.

The price of a speaker cable is no indication of its ability - all you require is the correct gauge of copper.

As MaryWhitehouse says unless there is a physical issue with the cable you already have I would save your money and look elsewhere for system improvements.

If you require to replace the cabe for some reason you can install a suitable 2x2.5mm cable for around £2/m.

Joe

Thanks Joe F & MaryWhitehouse, appreciate both your knowledgable comments. 👍
