Speaker cable recommendation for bright tweeters.

Morning all,

Could anyone recommend a speaker cable that could assist in controlling a pair of extremely bright metal dome tweeters.

The set up in my Mondeo is:

Pioneer AVIC D3
Audison BT interconnects
Audio Control Matrix 6
Audison BT interconnects
Genesis Compact 4
Autoleads speaker cable
JL Audio XR570 cxi coaxials.

I know the mounting position in the Mondeo is less than ideal and that JL's metal dome tweeters have a reputation for being over bright but I am running them at -3 db and they are still far too sharp. I am wondering whether a change of speaker cable could help.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

changing the wires probally wont help with the sound. they are made to be sharp and loud. and also made to be further away so that they blend in... try crossing them over at a lower DB, like -6 or -12 .. if your setup wont allow you, buy a bi-polar capacator to lower the freq. , or take the easy road and buy a crossover that will let you lower the DB
