Speaker cable problem !

Hi All

I've just received my speaker cable through the post, upon opening the box
i noticed that the cable i purchased for the centre, left and right fronts will
not fit into the conduit that is plastered into the walls.

One option i have is to strip back the outer protective coating. This will give me the clearance that i need. Will this affect the performance of the cable.

I purchased Chord Carnival Silver Screen for the fronts and centre with QED Micro for the rears.

Regards
Mark

Stripping back the coating will leave the cable vulnerable to interference and if removed completely will oxidise the wiring resulting in a serious degradation of quality.

I suggest you replace you conduit and not damage good-quality cabling!
