    Hi

The wire to my two rear surrounds speakers is not quite long enough.

Would there be much loss of quality if I just joined another bit of (identical) wire to it?

Or would I need to replace the whole length?

    I have QED wires.

    Cheers
    Greg

I've just done it with my 2nd zone speakers (in my kitchen) - after moving my whole system around. It seems to work perfectly well and I'm sure any quality drop won't be that noticeable with surrounds.

Best bet is to get one of those plastic connector block thingys - not sure what the proper name is - it's got a hole either side to feed in the wires and screws to hold them down. That's what I did anyway - just for the sack of neatness
