Is it important to use the same speaker cable throughout your system to keep a consistent sound?

I'm thinking of going for either the QED Silver Anniversary but wouldn't mind using the DNM Reson Mk11 for the rears as it's flat which will be more discrete.

Is this wise or should I just go for one or the other throughout?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Wayne.

    Hi,

It is better to use the same cable all round so to keep a consistent sound.
But saying that, I dont, I have QED X-Tube 400 on the fronts, and QED Silver Anniversary on the rears.
My system sounds good to me.

You will just have to try it and see.

    Good luck
