I managed to get a work sponsored laptop with dvd and tv out and to my surprise it came with windvd and a soundcard boasting a compatability with spdif.
The output is a minijack but it does output red light as if it were a toslink - how do I connect it to my Amp ie what lead is needed and where can I get one -TIA

You will need a mini-Toslink to Toslink cable, or a Toslink to Toslink cable with a mini-Toslink adaptor.
