Yep and christmas is one time of year for many that heightens emotions, and in a minority of cases for all the wrong reasons.

The attacks in Nigeria are nothing new though, been an almost bi-monthly occurrence. I have a friend out there currently doing his national service.

Sadly for London and Manchester murders are common place.Thankfully not in the same league as Nigeria.Yet :(

Just because it's Christmas,it doesn't mean there's a let up in such crimes.

It's tragic that such events occured around Christmas, but it's equally tragic that stabbings, shootings and murders are so frequent in a supposed civilised society.

Just because there's an increase in media coverage of violent crimes that doesn't necessarily mean there's been an increase in the number of violent crimes being committed.

Correct. At Christmas time there's probably a shortage of the rest of the doom and gloom news that our media seems to want to feed us 24 hours a day and so they concentrate on the murders that might not otherwise have got a look in amongst all the rest of the death/destruction/doom/disaster that they think we all enjoy!
