I am shortly going travelling for 3 weeks and have been unable to source a spare battery for my NWHD5. Amazon say 4-6 weeks and dealers tell me this also. I was really hacked off as this was a major reason for me choosing this model. I thought as a last resort I would complain direct to the Sony UK Customer Information Centre about this matter. They initially told me that I had to order through a dealer as they dont sell direct to the public. I kicked up a bit of fuss about this saying I would return my NWHD5 to my dealer for a refund, as it was not going to be any use to me without a spare battery. To my amazement Sony seemed to find a brand new spare battery in just over a week (selling it for £23 which was ok) and delivered by recorded delivery in just about a week. Sometimes you need to complain,and if you dont get an acceptable answer take your issues further.
