    Hi,

Unfortunately I have a wife who is more interested in colour and shape than practicality!

We (She) has decided that a Sony Plasma with integrated tuner is the screen for her. I must admit I'm pleased with the PQ, and it does what I need it to!

My problem is that all the connections come out from the back, therefore all the component and scart leads stick out even further than the back of the box.

I want to wall mount the screen, but I can't see that it will be easy with out crushing the cables and risking the connections in the screen!

Does anyone know if you can get 'low profile' scart connections, or 90 degree phono's?

    Thanks!

    Rich

I've got the same problem with the same screen :(

All I've managed to source was a 90° power lead, no luck so far with SCARTs or any of the others :(

    Any suggestions...anyone?

Try Flat scarts and i think i have seen 90 deg RCA ends, but never on a preterminated cable.

    Thanks,

I've found you don't really gain any space using the ribbon cable scarts, the actuall "plug" is the same depth :(

On the plus side, I found 90° RCA ends here :)

VEDA may start distributing a completely flat cable that can be wall papered over, 2mm thick and supposed to be as good as normal copper. It was shown at cedia and may now be available.

I found these http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/prod...d+RF+-+Phono+(RCA)+Adaptors&product_id=256747 did the job for the RCA stuff. Still searching for low profile scart, but as the screen needs to be 70mm clear of the wall anyway. I might not need it if my plans come to fruition anyway, the wife wants a fireplace built, and I'm planning to build a vented cavity so the screen will be flush with the 'wall' but have clearance on the mounting wall behind.
