I have just installed a GTX1060 on my PC and want to get the display on both my monitor and TV.

My monitor is connected via the 1060 DVI port and my Samsung TV connected via HDMI port 3 but the TV says "Source not connected"
The Nvidia control panel on the PC recognises the TV and I have cloned the TV image to that of the monitor and set the monitor to be the primary display.

Before fitting the 1060 I had a GTX460 and that was connected to the TV via the GTX460 DVI port and TV HDMI port 3 with a DVI/HDMI cable and that worked fine.
I connected my monitor with the HDMI cable and that worked OK so I'm assuming that the HDMI output from the GTX1060 is OK.
The TV manual says to use the HDMI port 3 for a DVI connection but says that you will need a separate audio connection. Maybe port 3 is specifically for a DVI connection?
There is another HDMI port on the TV but if I connect my PC via that port I get no display on my monitor so cannot access the Nvidia control panel to configure the displays.
Can anyone offer any help please?

TV is a Samsung LCD model LE32B550A5W

PC OS is Win 7 ultimate
