My dad was a sound engineer until he retired and I once asked him the same question. His answer was:

    (a) move house
    or
    (b) buy a set of headphones

Really effective soundproofing costs a packet, apparently.

You need to build a room within a room. Make a stud wall using Gyproc soundlboc plasterboard and fill the cavity with rock wool :D

    Kosta,
Have a look in the DIY section of these forums. This topic has been discussed many times over the months and you should be able to find all the information you need.

Also have a look at http://www.customaudiodesigns.co.uk for products and associated costs.

    Hope that helps.
