Any ideas on soundproofing a door?

I’ve built a new house and the cinema sits away as a single storey from the main house on a rear ‘wing’. I built it with an internal separating wall of 100 block, 100 Knauf insulation batts, 100mm block, plasterboard on dabs on both faces. I haven’t fitted a door yet but my wife is moaning about the volume, obviously any door will be an improvement but I want to get it right so that I can fully enjoy the room without shall we say ‘aggravation’.

Will a fire rated door be better? Can I add soundproofing onto the cinema side of the door and cover it in a fabric - I’m thinking like acoustic panels? Also should I seal the door jamb and if so with what?

    Thanks,
    David

You want the heaviest door you can get, fire doors are ideal. You then fit a drop seal to the bottom that closes against the floor surface when the door is closed and fit some perimeter seals to the other three edges. Some members on here have even fitted two doors which would be better again.

Came across the below kit a while ago when researching this subject, not sure how effective they are, but combined with a good quality fire door it should do a fairly decent job I imagine...
