    Hi everyone

    We watch movies from a pc on a projector. The sound goes through the pc speakers which is terrible. Now I would like to play the sound of the movie on a soundbar but I don't want to go wireless, I'd rather make use of the wired network (RJ45). Connecting the pc directly to the soundbar is no option due to the distance. The soundbar should also be accessible from the pc because I don't have a smartphone to use apps.
    Which soundbar is suited for this? Thx for your suggestions!

    So
    image: pc --> projector
    sound: pc --> router --> soundbar (all wired)

    Welcome to the forum johan003 :hiya:

    Well I am far from an expert and definitely do not know of all the available soundbars but I doubt there are any that can accept audio via RJ45 - but I'm sure somebody will quickly prove me wrong :)

    So as I see it you have 2 options (probably more)
    • send audio over CAT5 cable with something like This (you need 2 of them and a dedicated CAT5 cable as it does not work on your IP network).
    • stream the audio & video from PC over IP/CAT5 to a media player such as This and output from that to the PJ & soundbar.

    Mark.
