My ageing parents are just moving into a new home. I'd like to get them a sound bar to enhance their audio pleasure (read: they can't hear the TV very well) as a 'moving in' present. Your views would be gratefully received.
TV is a Panasonic TX-40CS520B, which does have ARC but, I suspect, only 2 channel sound output.
Budget is max £369 which, not coincidentally, is the price of a Sonos Beam. Anything more erm... cost effective would be good.
While old, at least one of them has the nouse to use Chromecast and Alexa / Google assistant so that could be an added bonus, especially if the sound bar is cheaper than a Sonos Beam.
They're certainly not audiophiles but I don't want to get them something that is just louder.
Please feel free to chip in. Thanks if you've read this far.
Cheers,
ISeeTheBeadyEyes.
