Question Soundbar Recommendation

Hi all,

Looking for a little bit of help/advice, looking at purchasing a soundbar for the attached setup and looking to spend no more than £500. Possible looking at Sony G700 or X8500?

Any suggestions as I am also concerned as to where is best to place it :)

I will be moving the Xbox and Sky to the underneath compartments.

You can kind of go 2 directions.
Direction 1) go with a mass market solution of which there are many Song/Samsung/LG/VIZIO /SHARP/Yamaha etc etc some are one bar solutions that will attempt through dsp wizardry to simulate atmos, or from the above list go for a full atmos system with sub and rears, but dont forget atmos is very room dependant.
Direction 2) go for the best sound quality that you can , ignore Faux Atmos type products and focus simply on getting the best bar you can for the money, available for your budget a Dali Katch one soundbar. From a specialist highly regarded audio speaker supplier.
As always i would ignore specs as they are utterly meaningless , try to audtion and let your ears decide, good luck.
