Soundbar mounting on media wall

Hi, I am in the process of planning a build of a false wall to house my tv and soundbar.
My question is, although i want to recess the equipment for a clean look, my Samsung soundbar has both forward and upfiring speakers and I am concerned that recessing this will adversely effect the sound quality.
has anyone had similar problems and how did you deal with it?

Also I am fitting the tv on a cantilever pull out mount, only so that we can access the rear of the tv, and attatch the tv whilst it is pulled out slightly. With this in mind i would like a minimal gap around the tv, what would you all recommend?
Thanks.

If your soundbar has upfiring speakers then they are likely for the Atmos domain and as such will need a clear line of sight to the ceiling as the audio is mean't to bounce off the ceiling.
