Hi,
I've recently moved into a house and had the TV socket mounted on the wall so it can be wall hung. I also had an HDMI cable channelled into the wall so as to avoid any connecting cables running down the back wall - all neat and invisible. Below the TV is a sideboard, inside which, I have a virgin media TV box and I also have a Playstation. I was going to connect both of these using a HDMI multipart which would run off the single HDMI cable cemented into the wall, again avoiding having any cables visible connected to wall hung TV.
My question is - I also want to purchase a sound bar. This particular sound bar is not wireless and needs an HDMI connection to work. Obviously I don't want to connect this directly into the TVs HDMI port as you would see the wire running up the wall so can I connect it to my Multiport in the same way? Its melting my brain trying to figure this one out.
Any advice would be appreciated.
