    Right Kev

I have had a look at your amp which unfortunately has limited features both in video and sound.

Can you explain why you feel the sound you are hearing at the moment is not very good and please indicate where the major problems lie.

For example "the bass is dull/boomy/distorted" "the whole system sounds harsh/bright with over bearing trebles" "it just seems to lack grunt" etc, etc.

The HCC review of your amp describes it as lacking any sort of grunt and "is certainly no sofa shaker" this may well indicate your prime problem.

Have you just purchased this set up???

    What size is your room???

The best way to test your surround sound is to get a good DTS film, choose a scene that is great for surround and bass like Saving Private ryan (beach scene) and play about with your speaker level settings/delay to suit your ears.

The bass is a different kettle of fish with careful placement needed to prevent a boomy/muddy sound, sticking Subs in corners can do this and so can having it equidistant between two walls.

There are so many factors to consider, but at first glance i dont think your receiver will produce the sort of optimum performance you are looking for.

Sound not very good - What i mean is i want the sound adjustments to be better ie:the voume set correct at each speaker, thats why i thought a setup disc would be ideal that prodces a good digital sound so i can adjust my speakers accordingly.

I purchased this setup around 4 years ago which was my entry into home cinema but jus recently moved it into a new room and want it set up correctly.

Room - is fairly small approx 10ft x6ft

I own a epson prjector which is onto wall of room Picture size around 6ft x 4ft

    Regards

    Hi kev

Sorry I misunderstood your post somewhat:suicide:

i dont know of a set up disc as such, but a good sound meter will enable you to fine tune each speakers db.

Does the amp have a speaker test facility on board?? If it has then the SM will do a great Job, you can pick them up for £30.

Because sound is so subjective considering personal preferance and conditions, a set up disc to suit all environments may be a litle tricky to produce.

sound calibration is usually done with a SM:smashin:
