Hi I am part way through putting up a modest garden office/cinema room about 6m x 3m. The building is timber frame straw bale construction so the walls will all have a heavy clay 30mm render on them. I have more flexibility with the ceiling however and wondered what the best cladding would be for sound quality? Thought process currently is something like Fermocell board rather than plasterboard for more density but I have seen these - Plywood Acoustic Panels - and wondered what advantages they might bring?

I should add that ceiling height is low so I want to keep panel thickness to no more than 20mm

Any tips?
