I had this fab idea of using my old home server as a mp3/divx/mame player networked to my home LAN for net access as well - though its really noisy it works fine. THEN I found this forum and discovered the wonderful world of HCPC.

Anyhow, I am having a slight problem with the lack of sound volume :(

I have a fairly standard sound card plugged into my sony home cinema system (amp) but the level of sound outputted is really low. Even turning the sony unit up to max (40) (normally have it on 10 for TV and 20 for DVDs) is not load enough.

Any ideas on how I can increase the volume that the sound card outputs (I have already put every software volume option to maximum)

    Cheers

In control panel under sound options make sure you have your volumes set at appropriate levels for each source.

Thanks Hawklord - I have tried this but had no luck.

I wonder if there is any software available that boosts sound output?
