I've had my PC connected to my amp via an optical audio toslink cable. Never had any issues until last week when I noticed the sound levels were very low. Turning up the amp to extremely high volume works, but when I switch the amp from PC duties to TV I inevitably forget to turn it down.
I've checked my sounds settings and can't see any issues there so assumed it was the cable. I've just replaced the cable but still the same problem.
Can anyone advise what I should try next, or what info you might need to help me sort the sound issue out.?
