Can anyone answer a query on the sound format on this Region 2 DVD? The review in HCC last month said it was 5.1, and the details on Play247 confirm this.
The packaging on the version that I bought in WH Smith says it is just stereo however. As yet I don't have an amp, so cannot confirm what is actually on the disk.
    Any ideas?

    It's a printing error.
    It's Dolby Digital 5.1
Another "good" printing error is the aspect ratio on the R1 version of Cast Away.
    Box say Anamorphic 2.35.1.
    TV says Anamorphic 1.85.1.
    Anymore Anybody?

I'm not sure if this is an error or not but my R1 copy of big trouble in little china claims the dd track to be 4.1 yet my dvd player calls it as dd 6 channel.

i have other 4.1 disks where the dvd player recognises it as 5 channel (it includes the sub as a full channel obviosly) cant say i noticed much in the way of split rear effects though.
