Just bought the components for a new Pc. Going to keep the old one, just for internet usage via a router with the new pc.

The old pc has a SB live card 5.1

Which i wish to connect to a iiyama 431s monitor, sound input (not arrived yet but the stereo input will suffice just for internet/surfing use, i hope)

The new pc has an abit ic7 max 3 mobo with an spdif output????

I want to connect this to my logitech Z560 4:1 speakers somehow and get the best quality possible.

This is totally baffling me - any help/links appreciated on the best way to connect the two.

So far the best i can figure is that the iiyama has an audio jack input which i feed from the green line out jack on the sb live 5.1

As for connecting the other pc, ic7 max 3 from digital spdif to analog Z560 i am well lost

Any help appreciated/places to buy leads/connectors etc. The colour of the jacks is confusing enough

The Z560 isnt a decoder so the SPdif is of no use.

Use the 5 channels of output the mobo already has by using the jack plugs.
