    Guys

I'm looking to build a htpc. I plan it to hold my music collection (lossless) and maybe my dvds (if I can be bothered), that aside, I probably won't be looking at mp3's!?

What are currently considered the better options when it comes to sound cards??? As above, it will be 50/50 Movies & Music, I'm currently considering the M-Audio Audiophile 192.

    Is that a good choice?

    Thanks

I would also consider the Prodigy 7.1 LT from overclockers
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Terratec.html For half the price you get the same results. I have been using this card for the past three months and it is fab. If you are going to use the HTPC box for MP3 stay well clear of the latest ver of WinAmp (5 i think). go with quentisential or an early ver of WinAmp (3 is the best). Hope this helps.
