As discussed in the main Rocksmith SOTW thread, let's try a different approach for picking songs for the SOTW. Whenever you play a song and think that it would make a good SOTW pick, please post in this thread (artist + song title), and then when we come to pick a song we should have some good ideas here.

You can post multiple songs in one post, and please post as many times as you want. Please try to avoid posting songs that we've already done; you can check all of our previous songs in posts two (recent rounds) and three (earlier rounds) of the SOTW thread. I will keep a running list in the second post of all of the suggestions, and will cross them out as we use them.

The aim here is to keep the SOTW going while removing the pressure on people to make a pick on a specific day, since most people don't seem to relish that task.

So please bear this in mind and make suggestions below, and we'll see how this approach works!

Couple that I found fun to play over this weekend were
Elton John - Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting
    Stone Temple Pilots - Plush

And Focus - Sylvia. But this was a Custom on PC, so that don't count. ;)

Not even vaguely derogatory! Is it Death Metal? Yes. Is it about Vikings? Yes. :D

Artist - sounds like the bloke out of Schindler’s List

Titles - something about Asgard and various Viking references

On buying the song pack with the Frampton song, one of the others seems very nice:
Time In A Bottle, Jim Croce

    Halestorm pack is fun.

Pick of the bunch would have to be "Mz Hyde". Not too difficult....yet. Even the arpeggio'd bit is do-able.

Do you want me to just add that one song to the list, or all three?

So “Halestorm pack is fun” would’ve been enough for you to add all three, but my Viking Death Metal suggestion, didn’t fit the criteria?

    Double standards much? :rotfl:

Might it be to do with the fact that Jon likes Halestorm but doesn’t like the other lot, I wonder? :D

Having spent a hour or so watching Halestorm videos on youtube last night, I can understand that.

You ought to "research" Lizzy Hale.

Just tell me which songs you want on the list. Note that I haven't added the Halestorm ones yet either, because I haven't received specific suggestions.

Added. Curious - there's also a version of that by Shinedown, which is one of my favourite songs in Rocksmith and which you already picked as an SOTW! First example I've seen, I think, of two versions of the same song being available as DLC.
