    I machined my own in work , gonna insert some pins in the ally(4KG) and be done with it. sounds great though.

    Looks like the guy’s a bridge builder.

    I like the idea of a pair of subs as part of the stand for bookshelf speakers, but preferably something altogether less gruesome.

    Keep in mind he built these for himself, not for the consumer market. He got what he wanted the way he wanted it, so he is happy even if others are not.

    Also, those center columns cost him a fortune. The same concept could be implimented with other materials for a lot less money.

    Yes, each to their own Steve.

    I toyed with the idea of a pair of BK Double Gemini's as a base for a pair of active Elipson Planets.

    They’ll require a 20cm upright and I was considering a 50cm steel tube painted the same colour as the Planets.

    It’s still a plausible project but postponed.
