    Hello,

I'm about to move house and as a result, i'm looking to get myself a nice 42 inch Plasma.

Now, at the moment, I have a HK DVD25, which output a Pal/NTSC Prog Scan.

Am I right in that all Plasmas accept PS?

Also, I'm looking for one that will do 720p and whatever HDTV Sky are likly to go with, this isnt majorly important, but it would be nice.

I will have between £2-£3k to play with.

With regards to inputs, its only going to be used for the DVD through comp and Sky+ through RGB (scart if poss) with the occasional games console conected though scart.

    So, what would you advise?

bet you boys are getting fed up with all these posts eh?

    thans in advance,

    Keety

Keety: All these posts? You only have 1!

No not all plasma's accept progressive scan. Most will have a range of resolutions they accept and in what format and on what input. ie

    RGBHV 1024X768@60Hz through VGA input
    YPrPb 720x480@60Hz through component input
    etc etc....

You need to check that your chosen display supports the resolutions you wish to use now and in the future. Remember to confirm the refresh rate is supported as well as the resolution....ie 1280x720@50Hz as well as 60Hz.....

I'd give a couple of the forum sponsors a call and speak to them. I'm sure if you read a few posts in the plasma forums it will be obvious which ones know what they are talking about and can help........
