Just bought myself a sony ex723 led 3D tv with built in freeview hd. I have a sky+ box too. I have connected the tv to the sky box with a scart to scart lead (not sure if this is correct) and an rf cable from the back of the box to the tv. I do not have an external aerial at the property.

when I have tuned in the tv it only picked up my sky broadcast in analogue on channel 1 of the tv. if I switch the input to the scart to scart connection all i get is the sound but no image.

am i connecting my tv up with wrong connections? could the scart be faulty? anythingh i am missing (apart from a brain!!)

:lease:

If you don't have an aerial then you don't need the RF cables.

In the sky box end have you got the Scart lead in the scart out socket?

Hi, the scart is connected to the bottom scart outlet on the sky box, could it just be a faulty scart then? Also I assume I need to get an aerial fitted in order to get my freeview hd? Sorry again for silly questions

If you can see the settings on the sky box via rf you might want to check that scart control is to yes. You will need to get an ariel fitted unless you just move up to Sky HD.

Make sure the scart lead is pushed fully in at both ends, it's very easy to have it at angle which is just enough to give the symptoms you have. If it is try another scart lead if possible.
