I'm looking for an av sub to replace my Rel Q100E and Q150E which I'm selling at the moment. Any ideas for a replacement which will plumb the depths and represent a real improvement? Good though both subs are for the money, I was never able to 'feel' the bass. I played the iceberg scene from Titan AE last night and although I could 'hear' a lot going on they just didn't seem to go down very deep. It may be my room which is quite small. There is a track on one of the Seal albums (the first album I think) which has a reverberating bass note which you cannot hear at all, but with my Naim SBL's you could feel it in your chest even though The Naims were not known for going down very deep. This is what I would like to achieve. A new sub will need to work in a corner position in my living/av room. I will be moving to a larger house so it needs to be able to work in a larger room also where it could possibly be freestanding. How about a Stentor III? Somebody is selling one off forum at the moment. There are a few Storms and a Q400 on ebay which i could consider. A Velodyne HGS15 might be suitable, but they don't appear s/h very often. Any thoughts?
