Sorry another ebay query

    Hi

    Ordered some lego keychains off flea bay, payment was taken straight away with delivery between 10 -12 June. Nothing turned up yesterday so I emailed the seller for an update and they refunded the money but not confirming why. I presume they were short of stock but took orders.

    So do I leave - ve feedback or just leave it where it stands. Kids had been looking forward to them and they were on a special offer price so cannot find more at that price.

    Yup. Leave negative for a lack of courtesy in telling what's going on.

    agreed with above they have effectively had a payday loan of you and if they can't be bothered to explain why and didn't offer to refund until you chased, then a bad review from you is the least they should expect.

    I reserve negative for scammers and thieves. I'd leave neutral and explain why in the feedback.

    Yep definite negative. I encountered a book seller who took payment promptly and then refunded without any reason or communication at all. I only found out because I happed to log into PayPal and saw the refund.

    Turns out this company sells plenty of books at great prices hoping that they can source them and when they can't they simply refund without any communication at all.

    Problem with this one is that when I looked at the feedback there are about 100 similar cases per month all leaving negative but this seller shifts so much it has little effect and he maintains a 99%+ feedback. Reported the behaviour to eBay but they clearly weren't interested and wouldn't even remove the listing for the book that they had sold to 14 people and then refunded because they couldn't actually source it.

    Thank you all for the comments. I did email them and this is what they said:


    Unfortunately we have had to cancel this order. This is due to a pricing error on our eBay outlet. We pride ourselves on having accurate information on our outlet, but on this occasion there has been an error which has subsequently been amended.

    Still not good I had to ask where the order was before they refunded the money.

    I feel that is reason for negative feedback- fair enough there was a pricing error & needed to cancel the order. BUT when they canceled the order, they should also have processed the refund at the same time, without the buyer needing to chase the refund.
