Right I'm nearly there. Persuaded the wife (after a year of gentle hints) to get me an E85 for my birthday but…....

Can you record two programmes (on the HD & DVD) simultaneously?
If it does, does this mean it has a dual tuner like the E75? If not can you record from terrestrial on one bit and via a freeview box to another?

    Ta

No you can't. No DVD recorder can (not inc the E75). It is possible to record and play (either from the HDD or the RAM) at the same time.

I didn't realise the E75 had two tuners, that is rather cool.

I don't believe it does have two tuners. You can record from freeview/cable/sky whilst watching terrestrial (or vice versa), and playback from the HDD or DVD whilst recording, but I fail to see how that implies two tuners.

What a shame. Seems silly when the E75 does, or so it says in their catalogue.

Oh well, it still doesn't stop me wanting an E85 !!
