Question Sony XF9005 & Sky Q HDR

Hi all

I have a Sony XF9005 and a 12 month old Sky Q 2TB box. When I watch a HDR source on the tv’s Netflix app and check the tv ‘picture’ settings, says it’s in HDR.

When I watch a Sky Q HDR programme, it doesn’t. Sky box is set to 10 bit UHD.

Sky box is connected to a Denon 2400 receiver and connected to HDMI 3 of the tv.

Any ideas, I’m assuming it should say HDR like it does using a Netflix source?

Thanks

Have you set the HDMI format on the TV to Enhanced?

You will also need to enable the equivalent setting in your AVR as well.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, TV is set to enhanced as is the Receiver. Interestingly, I watch a HDR programme on Disney+ through my Sky box and the TV said that was in HDR. So I know the settings between all the devices and HDMI cables are all OK.

It's just the HDR content from Sky itself which isn't showing as HDR according to the TV.

Are you selecting to download the HDR version?
There's different versions, UHD and UHD HDR.
