I recently watched 2 films in letterbox on Sky Movies On Demand (from the new releases) and noticed that in the bottom black bar to the right hand side, there was light flickering - not light bleed, but a bit of light flickering at different points throughout but pretty consistently. It was much worse on one of the films versus the other.

I thought it might be a failing backlight problem but it doesn't happen on blu rays or game cut scenes. I thought it might be input related (HDMI 4), but then I watched a couple of other films in letterbox (from regular Sky On Demand) and they were completely uniform with no flickering.

Does anybody know what might be causing this? Is it encoded in the Sky version of those particular films that show it? It's a bit odd and quite distracting.
