Sony X800 Mk2, 4k UHD spinner, this is in hardly used condition and fully hardware modified for multi-region bluray £275.

I installed the mod myself. Latest firmware and it's a brilliant machine, never skipped a beat. Only selling due to shelf space.

The mod will alllow it to play:

Hi!

A few questions about your X800 if you'll indulge me please... :D

How does the region coding work - is it an automatic or a manual button (or sequence) operation?
Who performed the region modification?
Is it definitely multi-region for BD playback? The reason I ask is I recently saw another player on here that was listed as multi-region but after a bit of testing it turned out to be MR for DVD playback only.
How old is the player and is there any warranty left?
Does it come with a box, remote and manual?
And finally is this definitely cash on collection only? I'm in Derby so a pick-up is definitely not an option!

Hi, it's a hardware mod done by myself. DVD is automatic and BR is manual selection via remote. It's mint condition and I have the box and remote etc. It's a very nice, capable machine and hardly used it. No warranty.

Thanks for the reply.

Let me have a think about it - I was hoping for automatic BD region switching but must admit I don't know if that's something that actually exists!

And if nothing else I think the distance for collection would defeat me anyway.

No worries. Automatic switching for BR doesn't exist. Hardware mod and manual switching works better and is more reliable.

Would you consider £250 delivered on the Sony?

It's a bit lower than I was hoping for TBH. Whereabouts are you based ?

Sorry will have to decline the offer. I've looked into the costs for an insured courier and it's not worthwhile at that price.

No worries, is there a price below £300 that works for you, including delivery?

Hi, I could do the player for £275 collected. You are free to arrange your own collection/courier.
