Component is 3 x RCA (phono) style cables. Try www.tmfsolutions.co.uk - Mine are 75 ohm OFC 10m Van Damme and were £42 delivered.

Can't comment on RGB as I only use component!

    Chill...

    Re the Digi box

From the sky box with a RGB scart you have a few options

    1. You can buy a RGB Scart to S video converter, then run an S video cable from the convertor to the projector

    2. You could buy a Scart RGB to Component Convertor box and run Three component leads to your projector

    3. Composite feed from the digi box/scart

I have tried 1 and 3 , the s vid picture is ok but does suffer from a bit of cross hatching, 1 i did not rate at all

Keene Electronics have confirmed the dispatch of my Scart to Component feed converter box and I shall be installing this at the weekend and will let u know the diff between the S Video and component feeds

BTW s video convertor approx £59
    component = £89

what else besides the digi box are you feeding the pro with?

ok the sony vw11 has component and the dvd will be going there.

the Sony vw11 also has an RGB input, the pace didgi box can output RGB.

so I will need 2 lots of cable?

I dont want svhs, and would like to use the RGB. dont want to play with the cable, ie joining pins ect ect, wouls like a good quality 1 already made.

is there any tests in mags or on the web for 5 m cables

    Ok thanks for that!

    Short and sweet..............well nearly

    Your 11HT accepts

    1 composite feed
    2 component feeds
    1 S video feed

DVD to Projector - Component - great no problem

    Digibox to Projector

    Digibox output will be either
    a 1 composite - single cable

    b 2 S Video - Single cable
    c 1 Scart (RGB enabled)

if you want option c it is no good buying a scart to component lead it will not work!

you need a convertor box to convert the scart RGB to Component
then you can run the component leads to the second input on the 11HT

However the best way to deal with this is if your amp has two component inputs and one component output, then you can connect the DVD via component leads to the amp(input 1), you will still need the convertor box for the digibox and then run the component leads from the side of the convertor box to the other 2nd input on the amp, then you will only need one set of leads from the component output from the amp to the 11HT

    proper job!

alternatively just buy the most expensive leads you can which won't work(re the digi box) then let me know so I can have a good laugh about it!

because I did what youre about to do, but luckly the people I bought my leads from were prepared to take them back

    Thanks Nobber.

What you are saying is that there is no lead that will come out of the pace digi box, (scart rgb) and go directly to the projector rgb input and work!!!

some say it is best not to switch vidio through amps , they like to go direct.

what is the lead that Gordon talks about sync on the green, is this a direct lead?

    Thanks

    Correct

I bought the Scart(rgb) to component with a sync on green but it did not work, so I'll be connecting my new Scart(rgb) to component convertor box at the week end

I agree with not putting things between the feed and the amp but I really could only be arsed to run one set of leads through the loft, specially with the price they are

    OK,

I'm sure the VPL10 supported RGBComposite sync on either input AorB. If it does you need a Scart to 4 phono RGBComposite for the Skybox.

DVD is a three cable scenario YPrPb.

    Darren send me your address....Gordon

    Darren,

The 11HT does work with RGBVH via a Pace Digital cable box There is no need for sync on green as the projector takes vertical and horizontal sync).

You need the RGB syncblaster from Keene. I purchased a 10m cable for approx £90. The cable is RGB scart to 5 x BNC phonos. You can get gold BNC to phono adapters from Lektropacks for next to nothing.

Remember .... before you change to this cable go into the TV guide on NTL press menu 4 then menu 4 again and change the signal to RGB. The rgb picture will display through a composite or s-vdeo connection (not as RGB) but a composite signal will not show through the RGB cable. Thats why a lot of people say it doesnt work ... but it does ... it's what I have got

this is sky digital, not ntl, so output will be rgb, why do I need the 5 plug type ??

so its just 3 to connect, yes

I have not found anyone who is running direct RGB from a sky box.

    thanks
