sony vtx800 forgotten pin

hi can any 1 help me i havent used me vtx 800 for ages and i have forgot my pin does any 1 know how to reset it tried holding power button i need a master reset if there is 1 thanks lee

This should do it..... Hold down power sw for 8 secs. Power on.

Then press buttons in this sequence....

1) Left arrow
2) Right arrow
3) Yellow
4) Blue
5) Menu (brings you into the menu screen),

Then...

6) Select Technical info
7) Press OK & OK again.

All the above must done very quickly otherwise the "reset" option will not appear!

This brings you to the Info window. At the bottom you should have a coloured bar or two. Underneath the red displayed bar you'll see text ..... "reset defaults"

8) Press the RED button.

You'll be back to the set-up page once pressed so you'll have to do another tuner channel scan.

Absolute genius that info helped me out too (my memory isn't what it used to be ), was worried that I'd have get a new box. All good now
