The Sony G70 is a Cathode Ray Tube projector so will not use lamps.
The tubes once they wear must be replaced by and expert (that's me) or you run the risk or seriously damaging, your self, your projector or at the very least its performance.
Changing the tube is not something that an end user should undertake.

    Here

    http://www.crtcinema.com/parts.html

Sony G70Q - RED/GREEN/BLUE (rebuilt with new phosphor and guns) $595.00 ea

    Sony G70Q - RED/GREEN/BLUE (new) $953.00 ea.

Also try http://www.hammerheadtech.com but you will have to email them as they don't show all their stock on their website.

I've used both these companies on various occasions, service has been exemplary. Both companies are highly recommended by fellow AV'ers in the US.

If you do decide to import, remember you will still have to pay vat (and possibly duty) on top of the price.

Also here, http://www.spatz-tech.de/projekto2.htm more local (Germany - no import taxes to pay), €2890 (£1999) for a full set which is roughly the same as the others above but not sure if price includes or excludes german vat.

Not seen a source in the UK but bound to be one somewhere (Roland?). Anyway, plenty of options to choose from.

I have new Sony G70 tubes in stock but I won't use the VDC tubes untill they are prepared to garentee the tubes. (apparently the high deflection angle can cause failures in the neck of the tubes above normal video frequencies!
I can of course get them if the end user want's to take the risk.

I don't like supplying just tubes to people unless they know what they are doing. 35,000 volts is not funny stuff to play with.

    Mod Note:
Please be aware that no For Sales or Wants should occur in this forum.

There is no problem finding out where to get stuff here but if you want to buy something you either do it privately (which has nothing to do with us) or do it within the AV Classified's.

    Thanks
