Sony Vph 1272q No High Resolution Help

HDTV tuner is connected with the SONY VPH 1272Q projector through COMPONENT cable, so the signal goes from HDTV tuner by the COMPONENT cable, then to AVT-3800 imageMAX PLUS Video Scaler and finally to PROJEKTORA RGB/YPBPR. When I switch to the 576p, 720p 1080i resolution on the tuner, strange things happen (blinking on the screen, double image, white stripes on the whole image, crazy !! I can't see anything!) When I switch to 576i resolution everything is ok. Could anybody help me with that? What can I do so I could watch the movies in HD?

The projector's max highest resolution is 1600X1200, so I don't get it!

Hi,

that PJ should run 720p and be happy.

I would suggest you use the RGBHV input if possible.

ALSO do you need to tell the PJ it has Component input when you change the input resolution ???

I dont know Sonys but I would guess its a setting within the Projector.

Sounds to me like your scaler doesn't support HD input.

I overlooked that, I thought the system worked just could not be got working..........

And it would appear that it wont like HD inputs..........
