Hi, i'm new to the world of crt projection and i'm trying to work out a few things. I have a sony vph-1251QM mounted high in a lecture theatre and i believe the blue tube is worn (blue images are no longer that blue, the image is out of focus and whites appear yellow or pinky coloured).

Can anyone tell me if its possible to:

    1. buy new tubes for this projector and if so how much they are likely to cost and where i might be able to get them?
    2. if its possible to fit them with the projector still mounted on the ceiling if a scaffold tower was put in place?
    3. is any further adjustment necessary once the new tube(s) are installed

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Paul

You can buy the tubes from the advertised member and sponsor of this forum.
You'll need to take it off the ceiling.
You'll need to readjust the new crt's

    Regards,

    Bart

Just purch. a set of this CRT 07MTS from maxivideo Italy. Received in 3 days. You can ask to info@maxivideo.it for a quotation, but I do not rem. the name of the Eng. answering, nor his mailbox. But consider they told me a single crt is not available.
