    Hi all,

I'm running a borrowed copy of Vegas Pro 11 and I can't for love nor money get it to render properly. The person who lent it to me has been using it for a while with perfect results, but on my PC it just isn't playing ball. I've searched the stickies (and the rest of the internet) and tried numerous things but I can't get it to work. My system:

    Intel i5 2500k
    8gb DDR3
    HD6950 2gb
    Win7 home 64bit.

Now the footage I'm using is recorded using a Hauggapuge HD PVR2 Gaming edition, I've recorded in both M2TS and MP$, and both come out fine in the Vegas preview but as soon as I render it, it turns out as a green screen with the odd flicker of the footage. This is what I've tried:

GPU acceleration both on and off.
    32 and 64 bit Vegas.
With and without K-Lite codec pack.
    New install of Windows.
Numerous render settings (MP4, AVI, MPEG etc etc).

No matter what I do, I get the same results every single time. I should perhaps mention that in the preview in Vegas, the clip shows up as a green screen but this sorts itself out after I hit play.

Having seen what people can do with this software, I was really looking forward to trying it out and perhaps purchasing it for myself but this borrowed copy is giving me so much frustration I might seek something else to keep me busy. If anyone has any suggestions on how to sort this out, I'd greatly appreciate them.

I would uninstall and download a trial version of latest direct from Sony.

I'm ashamed to say I didn't even think of that, I was under the impression that this was pretty exclusive software that didn't have a trial version.

I've got it now (version 12) and it's working great, but I'm not getting any sound. I'll dig around but thanks for the help in the mean time. Expect a post or two from myself in the near future asking a thing or two as I'm completely new to this.

    Thanks again!
