Ive ordered a Sony KV-32LS60 from UNBEATABLE and the order status on the webby states "Awaiting stock from manufacturer" then the standard "7 - 14 days". Does anybody know most manufacturers get their stock from Sony at the same time, I mean released to the retailers in batches.
Ive Emailed Unbeatable and am still awaiting a reply :(
Anybody got an idea when stocks are likely to be replenished??

Sony currently hold very limited stocks of the 32LS60.
Mine's finally being delivered tomorrow, ordered it over 3 weeks ago from Sony Centre.I was originally told it would be delivered within a week.

I have a KV28FX66 on order from Unbeatable, despite the usual 7-14 day dispatch notice when I ordered this I have now been informed I may have to wait another 3-4 weeks for my Telly. I complained about this to Unbeatable who said they would update their website, guess what as at NOW (16.22 2/2/03) they still haven't done it!! Not sure if there's any regulation on what retailers are and aren't allowed to say about stock levels/dispatch times on websites, but sure would be interested to find out.

I ordered the 32LS60 last week and it looks like unbeatable wont get them in for about 3 weeks..the thing is I purchased the TV using the "Buy now..pay in 12 months" interest free deal.
It should be renamed "buy now...pay in whatever length of time is left from the arrival of stock to 12 months after the date of purchase" which looks like 11 months to me! Might give 'em a call and see if they can restart the 12 month term from the date the TV arrives...I doubt they'll honour it though :(

I thought it was illegal to take the money for an item until they had it in stock/know its on its way to you. I.e. if they know they can't get the item for 4 weeks they can't take the money.

This it regardless of where the moneys coming from, you or a finance company offering the store an IFC deal.

I was told by House of Fraser that they are expecting the FS76 mid Feb. I must stress however that everywhere I have been ringing since late Nov have been continually stalling and putting the 'in stock date' back and back and back.

I saw a post on here the other day saying JLewis were saying another 10 weeks!!!!!

I contacted Sony and was told no customer can contact anyone in the company for any information regarding stock levels and despatch dates only retailers. NOT a good customer service by Sony then.

    Regards

    Tom

I've just been to Superfi in Manchester. I was there to but an amp and speakers but I want to get the Sony 36FS76 next month so asked about availability. They said that they can get them in 2-3days at the moment from their Nottingham warehouse. I can't vouch for this as I didn't actually order it but it might be worth trying out if you want one immediately.

They also do an excellent price match. I matched KEF eggs with discount tv. Discount had them at £635 (as opposed to superfi at £699). Superfi rang them and discount said that they hadn't got them in stock and didn't deliver. But Superfi still matched the £635 price!! Result:p

Very impressed and a big thumbs up to superfi:smashin:
