Looking for some help/advice. Our 3 year old TV done an overnight update last weekend and since then our TV has not worked. Its started a reboot loop. When we switch it on it just keeps rebooting after a few seconds. We've tried factory reset but it reboots before it's had chance to finish. A hardware reset using the buttons on the back etc and none has worked.
I'm in contact with currys and they've asked for £95 to assess and if its caused by malfunctioning hardware they'll accept its a manufacturing fault because of its age and cosy of original TV however if its software the fee will stick regardless if they can fix it.
Can anyone with a bit of know how help advise what what issue sounds likely to be, is it worth the risk? I can also go independently if needs. It's XF8096 model. I can see from searching online that it's a common fault within Sony TV but can't find it relating to my model.
