I have just bought a Sony DVDR, the RDR-HX510 and am trying to get the freeview signal my TV gets (KD-32NX100U) to the DVDR so I can record it.

One Scart connected already for DVD playback. Can I connect the AV2 (Scart)from the TV back to the Recorder? Would that let me record freview?

You need to attach it to the scart that ouput the digital signal from the TV. IT is AV3 on my TV as I have three scarts. If you have two scarts then it will be AV2 off the TV. Then, attach the other end of the scart cable to the DVDR on AV1 off the DVDR. Then put the DVDR on AV1 channel to receive the digital signal and record it. You will need to set the TV to Av2 to show the digital signal coming out off the DVDR.
