    can anyone confirm that this camcorder is not a bottom loader & if any one has the the review from what camcorder aug 2003 can they send me a copy please.

    It's a bottom loader - but I see no problem with that

    hi martin
    I know you had this a while now how do you find this camcorder, has it analogue input/output, have you shot a footage in the dark, whats the stills on the memory stick like. i may have a few more questions if you don't mind undecide between this & a dcr pc8, & a dcr pc105

    Analogue in not used yet - out is fine.

    Nightshot is pretty good - there are a few low light enhancement tools which work but obviously (some smearing - bit like a tube camera)

    Memory Stick stills are pretty good - but no substitute for 35mm or 3 MP and up, look ok as A4 from 2 foot away.

    Widescreen mode is brilliant (anamorphic and a wide CCD) - I use it exclusively - however my editing package seems to lose the flag but TMPGENC replaces it.
