I'm wanting to buy my first Camcorder and I'm down to these two.
There is only £20 price difference (Sony being the most expensive).
    They both have good reviews.
Does anyone have any advice on which they think is the best and why?
    Cheers

I'd always go for the Sony - the TRV33 is excellent and owned by many people on this forum, including myself.

I don't know about the Canon MV650, but I know that the Canon MV600 suffers from excessive tape mechanism noise which the onboard microphone picks up. As they look to be very similar, I'd assume that the same would follow for the MV650.

    Hope this helps.
