    Hi all,
    does anyone know ifit is possible to patch TRV18E to get DV in?
    I know diverse JVC and Canon cameras can be patched, does this also apply for Sony ? There are some good offers on this one, would be great if this is possible.

    Hi plump,

    I don't have the answer to this, but would be interested to know...
    I bought one about three months ago and am really chuffed with it - outstanding for the price (paid £469) - the only thing it lacks is DV-In...

    Yes, and that's the price to go for. I even saw it for as little as 425 last month.
    But if it is not patchable I'll have to go for TRV25 and the price difference is huge.

    I also asked this because I saw one TRV5 (Sony's very first miniDV) last sommer , that was patched. Maybe there's hope . . .

    Have you tried the Sony website? They should have all the specs there.

    THis is what I found, so no analogue pass thru:

    * System - Digital 8

    * Zoom 20 x

    * Digital Zoom 700x - (stupidity anyway)

    * Ton Stereo

    * Chip 540.000 Pixel

    * 0 Lux

    * Manual Focus ??????????????????? Check this well - no autofocus!!!

    * LCD-Screen 6,35 cm

    * DV-In, DV-Out, USB
