    <img src="http://www.avforums.com/news/images/20050909181029.jpg" align="right">Following is the press release from Sony on its new Walkman portable HD MP3 players…</p><P>”Sony announces its new range of WALKMAN MP3 players featuring spectacular ergonomic designs and an exciting range of intelligent features that allow MP3 fans to enjoy music in a totally new way. </P><P>Users can control their Sony WALKMAN so it is a true extension of their personal taste and musical preferences with features like the ‘Artist Link’ button - which searches every artist, album and song stored on the device and offers suggestions of artists and bands closely linked to the genre of music being played at the time. </P><P>Available in a 2OGB and 6GB version, the colours (violet, silver and pink) are set to please the fashion conscious, with a bright white display and matching earphones. </P><P>The Sony WALKMAN is again redefining portable music, as it did when the first WALKMAN was launched 26 years ago, as it offers the ultimate in ease of use through an appealing user interface with its advanced organic EL display. The mobile phone style ‘Home’ menu offers nine options, easily selected via the four-way directional button.</P><P>Intelligent Shuffle functions allow music to be searched in more ways than has ever been possible MP3 players via ‘Genre’, ‘Artist’, ‘Album’, ‘Song’, ‘Release Date’, ‘Rating’ and ‘Recently Transferred’, enabling the user to really own the way their music is listened to. ‘Time Shuffle’ plays songs of a randomly selected year and ‘Favourite Shuffle’ plays your top 100 most listened tracks.</p><P>Featuring access to three years of playback history and featuring the first ever ‘Initial Search’ on a hard disc device, allowing the user to scroll from A-Z for ultimate ease of use.</P><P>The new WALKMAN will be in stores by early November 2005.
