    Hi,

I've been offered a 2nd-hand Sony TA-VE215 (or sometimes known as HTK215) home cinema system.

Is this a reasonable system for a small lounge??

Can I connect a PS3 & Sky Plus to it via Optical cable??

Can I extend the rear speaker wires / buy VERY long extended Sony wires?? (As I'm told Sony have their own connectors?)

    Grateful for any help! :)

I am ashamed to say that I have had my TA-VE215 for about 8 years i think( along time anyway). I have my PS3 and my Virgin HD attached and works really well, although i am now looking into a new AMP which produces true HD sound. But am confused with this at mom so will probably be a while before that happens. Until then will plod on with my trusty Sony.
By the way my brother -in-law has gone through about 3 sound sustems in the time ive had my Sony.

I've had mine for over 5 years and it's still going strong (although I wish it'll break so I can have an excuse to upgrade). I connect optical cables to my 360 and set top box and it works fine. In regards with the cables, buy some cheap ones from your local electronic store and soldier the existing connectors to the new cables, easy and cheaper option.

I'm in the same boat, I've mine for 5+ years. Still working a treat but I fancy a new setup. Does anyone know if there is an updated version of this?
