Had one for 6 months now. No problems with it and am very happy with it.
Ample connectivity options for my equipment (Cable,DVD,XBOX,PC)
Stays reasonably cool during prolonged use. Looks pretty good.
Sounds good. Basically as this is my first AV Receiver I have nothing to compare it to, so no reason to be disappointed.
If your in the same situation and have found a good deal, why not!

I heard it at Richer Sounds. It's sonically capable, but it's severely overpriced - unless the styling appeals to you.

I've had a 780 for several months now and am very happy with it. Looks great and sounds good too. Seems to be very well made, and have had no problems. Well worth getting it set up correctly (you need a compliant spouse / partner) to sit in the right place holding a tape measure from head to each speaker!) - sounded much better when I did this.

Has all the connections you should need. I don't bother with video switching. Never need to open the flap - front buttons and remote control 99% of everyday tasks.

    Enjoy!

I know the feeling - we've just redecorated ours, and I couldn't wait to get it all cabled up again - I missed ProLogic II for TV a lot!!!
